By the Mob Tennis team

Arthur Fils captured the 2026 Barcelona (ATP) title with a commanding performance, defeating Andrey Rublev 6-2 7-6(2) to claim his first ATP 500 title of the season. On the same surface, Ben Shelton prevailed at the 2026 Munich (ATP), edging Flavio Cobolli 6-2 7-5 in a steady display of controlled clay-court tennis. On the women's side, Elena Rybakina dominated the 2026 Stuttgart (WTA) indoor clay final, overwhelming Karolina Muchova 7-5 6-1 to secure another 500-level crown. The week also delivered notable upsets across the three tournaments: Hamad Medjedovic, ranked 56th, stunned ninth-ranked Alex De Minaur in Barcelona's round of 16, while at Munich, 106th-ranked Alex Molcan eliminated tenth-ranked Alexander Bublik in the second round. In Stuttgart, unseeded Zeynep Sonmez sent home 13th seed Jasmine Paolini in the round of 32, continuing a pattern of ranked players struggling on clay. C. Ugo Carabelli, ranked 68th, also upset 15th seed Karen Khachanov in Barcelona's second round. Meanwhile, Marta Kostyuk claimed the 2026 Rouen (WTA) 250 title, defeating Veronika Podrez 6-3 6-4 in a supporting warm-up run. Attention turns next week to the 2026 Madrid (ATP) and 2026 Madrid (WTA), where both tours converge at the clay Masters 1000/1000 event.
