Shelton wins Stuttgart; Raducanu falls in Queen's final

By the Mob Tennis team

Ben Shelton won his first grass-court title at the Stuttgart Open, defeating fellow American Taylor Fritz 6–4, 2–6, 6–4 in Sunday's final. Donna Vekic upset Emma Raducanu 6–0, 7–6 at Queen's Club in London, capturing the title despite Raducanu fighting back from a terrible first set to nearly steal the second. Raducanu's drought for a second career title extends beyond five years since her 2021 US Open triumph. The British No. 1 reached the final after a grueling Saturday, playing two matches in a single day, and there are huge positives to take heading into Wimbledon. Off the court, Novak Djokovic has teased plans to return with greater menace at Wimbledon, targeting his long-awaited 25th Grand Slam title, while Alexander Zverev sent a warning to Alcaraz and Sinner after capturing the French Open crown. Jannik Sinner is among stars considering a boycott of the US Open mixed doubles over prize-money concerns. The 2026 Berlin Open is facing significant withdrawals, reducing its top-10 draw from nine to five players, while Serena Williams continues her comeback, partnering with Karolina Muchova at Berlin next week. The grass-court swing intensifies as the 2026 Halle and Berlin opens begin Monday.
