Jannik Sinner defeated Alexander Zverev in the final, 6–1, 6–2 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2026 Madrid Open. It was his ninth ATP Masters 1000 title and 28th ATP Tour title overall. Sinner became the first man to win all the first four ATP Masters 1000 events of a season, as well as the first to win five consecutive Masters 1000 titles, since the series started in 1990, surpassing the record of four consecutive titles by Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal.
